Preparing for Your Session
You are going to have such a beautiful, powerful experience. Everyone does! There is absolutely no need to be nervous, but feeling excited is definitely allowed. 🙂
The session will take approximately 4 hours. However, occasionally they can go even longer, so please make sure you choose a day where you don’t have anything else to do or anywhere else to be afterward (if you do have a hard stop, let me know and I can do my best to respect that.). You will want to have some quiet time to yourself to reflect, integrate, and eat a nourishing meal to ground yourself when it’s done.
Please eliminate or limit your use of caffeine that morning, i.e. If you normally have a cup of coffee every morning, try to drink half-caf, go decaf, or drink half the amount. Do not drink any alcohol 24 hours before your session.
On the day of your session, there is no need to rush. Take your time. Dress comfortably. Trust that the session will be exactly as it is meant for you! Relax into knowing that whatever comes up will be for your highest good. ♥
The Flow
The first 1-2 hours of the session are simply for getting to know you and discussing what we will be seeking to discover through hypnosis. It may seem extensive, but it’s very important to make sure that you feel super comfortable in my energy and that I, as your guide, clearly understand the objectives for our journey together!
Like a (somewhat) typical therapy session, we’ll have an in-depth conversation where we’ll talk openly about your soul’s journey and go over the questions you have decided you would like to explore throughout the session.
We’ll talk about how easy it is to be guided into a deep state of relaxation as you let go and allow yourself to have this experience of connecting to your higher self. I can also answer any other questions that come up before we begin if you have them.
The rest of the time will be for the hypnosis experience itself. While lying down on your back, it will be quite similar to listening to a powerful guided meditation as you slowly begin to fully relax. You may see visuals or receive claircognizant (clear-knowing) insights through your mind like you are dreaming while you are still awake. Your only job is to answer my questions about what you see, feel, and sense as I guide you through the experience.
Most people are relatively consciously aware throughout the session, so don’t expect to feel like you have been put under general anesthesia. It’s a bit like having a sleepy conversation with a friend while you’re relaxing with your eyes closed. For some people, hypnosis can seem quite subtle, and it can be easy to question if you are even under hypnosis because it truly feels so natural! Try not to worry about whether you are under “deep enough” – simply leave that up to me and allow yourself to relax into it.
From there, all you need to do is trust the first thing you see and sense, and share the very first thing that comes up in your mind’s eye. Taking deep breaths will also allow your conscious mind to let go & surrender and your Higher Self to come through more clearly during this beautiful experience.
If you would like to practice for your hypnosis session, try listening to guided visualizations online such as this Chakra Healing Meditation I created. We will also do some visualization practices together as a part of the process.
Your Questions
Before the session, you will need to write down 3-5 questions you would like to be answered by your Higher Self. Keep in mind that the more questions you ask, the less deeply we’ll be able to go with each one.
These questions can be about literally anything you have been wondering about!
Some ideas include:
- Health/Body Issues
- Emotional/Mental Health
- Relationship Dynamics
- Career/Business
- Spiritual/Mystical Experiences
- Recurring Dreams
- Astrological Questions
- Universal Curiosities
Your Higher Self will also often answer questions you didn’t even think to ask because it always knows exactly what you need most right now on your healing journey, so try not to overthink this. Just think off the top of your head about whatever has been bothering you most or anything you have been deeply curious about in your life!
What to Bring
In-Person Sessions
Just bring yourself and your list of questions. 🙂 You can bring a snack for afterward to help you get grounded if you’d like, but I will already have some available here. I will also provide you with fresh, clean water to drink, but you can bring your own water bottle if you prefer. Whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Online Sessions
You will need:
- Your list of questions emailed to me anytime beforehand
- A comfy place to lie down such as a bed or couch and a pillow
- A blanket and an extra pillow for under your knees for maximum comfort
- A proper headset that has headphones with an attached microphone that are not wireless – they must wired to your device without the need for batteries or bluetooth! Unfortunately, I have had mixed results with headphones where the microphone hangs down around the neck area (i.e. Apple headphones) as it can occasionally get muffled. Here’s an example of a really good option!
- A charger for your device (computer, phone, tablet) so that it is connected directly to a reliable power source during the entirety of the session
- An understanding among household members & pets that they are not to bother you (very important!)
*Please be prepared to position your camera so that I can see your face (ideally with both eyes showing) and most of your chest while you are lying down so I can monitor your biological rhythms including facial expressions and breath movements.
It’s also a good idea to have water next to you to drink beforehand and to have snacks handy for afterward to help you get grounded!
Follow-Up
A few days after the session, I will send you the recording so you can listen to it as much as you’d like. You may think you remember everything, but it can be like a dream that fades away over time. That’s why I would recommend listening to the recording periodically – i.e. once a week or once a month – for the first few months before bedtime to fully anchor the information into your everyday reality.
The more you listen, the more the healing will occur and further insights will arise to help you live in greater alignment with your higher self’s wishes. You will even find that you are more connected and open to hearing your Higher Self’s voice guiding you in your everyday life.
If you want to keep exploring with further sessions, that would be amazing! However, I would recommend waiting at least 6-12 months in between sessions to give yourself time to integrate everything you’ve learned as much as possible.
Note: The induction will NOT be included in the recording, so don’t worry about spontaneously going under hypnosis when you listen back. However, please don’t listen to the recording while driving because it may still make you less alert.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out!
